We know a thing or two about students here at Ink & Water (two of our team worked for Universities in previous lives) so we couldn’t wait to help the University of Sheffield’s volunteer army shout about the impact they make on the city.

Sheffield Volunteering’s annual report had to communicate the variety and the scale of their achievements (1,504 volunteers from 55 University departments active across 39 areas of Sheffield) whilst capturing the personality of an organisation that is student-led.

We decided to go for a ‘scrap book’ feel, packed full of project photography and bold typography, printed on an uncoated paper stock. Sheffield Volunteering were delighted with the result and are going from strength to strength, making a real difference in the lives of people in Sheffield.

Students are historically the toughest critics, so we were called in to design a a flyer advertising the re-launch of a weekly campus event. We thought humour was the best way to get the students on side. We like it.
